Wikidata, which enables you at the click of a mouse (almost), to create interactive – maps, -timelines, -statistical visualisations in abstract space, and other tools to make engaging educational resources. Wikidata is the latest project from the people who brought you Wikipedia. Wikidata already holds billions of statements across every imaginable subject. These data are free for use by anyone. You can also contribute your research data to Wikidata – this is a low-cost way to get incoming links from sites such as Wikipedia, and to enable new kinds of query and interactive visualisation. Hear from one of the research projects in the University that has already taken this opportunity. This workshop assumes no prior knowledge about wikis.
