Taking the Temperature: Climate Fragility vs Climate Unity
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the capacity of the Old Library is strictly limited to 55 people. Once capacity is reached, we will have to refuse entry to additional participants. To avoid this risk, make sure to arrive early. As per college regulations, you will also be required to wear a mask during the lecture and Q&A session, and to remove it only when you are speaking. We further suggest bringing warm clothes, as some windows will be left open to ventilate the room.
Main access to the Old Library is via a steep staircase. Arrangements can be made for those with limited mobility to use a stairlift and a Fellow’s room to gain access. Please let us know at least one day in advance if you require this type of assistance.
Camilla Born has spent the past six months in the UK Cabinet Office as the Deputy Director of Strategy for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (COP26), and Advisor to the COP26 President Elok Sharma.
Prior to her secondment, Camilla led the development of the UK’s approach to adaptation and resilience for the UN Climate Action Summit at the UK’s Department for International Development.
Camilla is Senior Policy Advisor in Climate Diplomacy, Risk and Security at E3G, an independent European climate change think tank, focusing on delivering high leverage political interventions to shape transformational international outcomes.

From 2017-18 she held the role of Director for the Expert Working Group on Climate-related Security Risks and advised the Swedish government during their membership on the UN Security Council.
