Iminosugars and dengue: the uncensored story of an antiviral therapeutic.
The mechanism of action of iminosugars as broad spectrum antivirals has long been simplified to be singularly dependent upon inhibition of human alpha-glucosidases; however, a comprehensive analysis of the host response to treatment reveals that this mechanism may be only partially responsible for efficacy.
