Putting storytelling at the heart of health experiences
Sexism, shame, and stigma influence health experiences and cause harm. Many conditions that differently or disproportionately affect women and people assigned female at birth are underfunded and under researched. To address these gaps, Tori uses the case study of recurrent vaginal thrush, to explore how gender health inequity impacts healthcare encounters. Her work centres patient voices, upholds lived experience as expertise, and bridges research with community activism.
