Science on the Sofa
The Museum of Natural History is wheelchair accessible and a hearing loop is available. A quiet space will be available if anyone feels overwhelmed. There will be BSL interpreters and the event will be livestreamed to maximise accessibility. There is a space reserved outside the museum for safe drop-off/collection by car, and details of Blue Badge parking nearby can be found at BlueBadgeParking.com.
Science on the Sofa offers a chance to find out all about Science Together – an exciting new programme, connecting the knowledge of Oxford’s community groups to the expertise of researchers based at the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University, to collaborate on responses to major issues and questions impacting the lives of local people.
Learn more about the people and projects involved, join us in celebrating their achievements so far, and find out how you could get involved with Science Together in future years.
Join researchers and community members in conversation with Science Together host, Oli Moore, for an enlightening night at the museum. This relaxed event, with free refreshments, brings together Oxford researchers and facilitators, and representatives from the eight local Oxford community groups involved, ranging from Barton coLAB for teens to Daybreak, an inclusive scheme for those with dementia.
There will also be a chance to ask questions. Please note that advance registration is required. This event will also be livestreamed.
