Alberto Kornblihtt is a distinguished Molecular Biologist at the University of Buenos Aires Argentina where he is Professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology. He is also an International Research Scholar of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a foreign associate of the National Academy of Science USA. Alberto is a Dunn School alumnus since he worked as postdoc here with Tito Baralle 1981-1984. During this time he discovered the first example of mammalian alternative splicing in the fibronectin gene.
