‘Poland on Its Way to Digitization’
The seminar will showcase the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs’ role in transforming the state into a modern public service provider. It will briefly go through the flagship e-Gov projects, including cybersecurity, and outline the Ministry’s responsibilities regarding the coordination of Poland’s Digital Single Market Strategy.
Minister Szubert has held managerial posts in both Polish and foreign enterprises in the ICT industry for more than twenty years. An entrepreneur, since 1998 he has held the post of President of the Management Board and Chief Operations Officer at CONNECT DISTRIBUTION, during which time the company has won numerous prizes.
Since 2012 he has been the Minister of Digitization in the BCC Economy Shadow Cabinet. He is also the founder and Chairperson of the Coalition for the Development of the Information Society (KRESI) – a platform for dialogue and the cooperation of the most important organizations related to the communications and IT industry, with the aim of accelerating the development of the information society in Poland. Since the end of 2015, he has been the Strategic Advisor to the Minister of Digital Affairs, and in May 2016 he became the Plenipotentiary Ministry for International Affairs.
