Conference Presentation Training for Graduate Students
The Humanities Training team will hold a ‘Giving Presentations’ workshop and surgery on 6th November. The two events are run back-to-back, with lunch included, so participants can come to the first part to develop their skills, then use the second one to practise their presentation and get some feedback. Students can sign up here (note that separate sign-ups are needed for the two halves). We run this ‘paired’ event every term, sometimes with both halves on the same day, and sometimes a week or so apart.

This workshop will help first-time and inexperienced presenters address key issues including: planning and writing your paper; developing presentation skills; and dealing with questions and discussion sessions. It aims to help you to develop the skills and confidence to present your research effectively to different types of audiences.
