The use of Ketamine for treating treatment-resistant depression
The Sherrington Society are delighted to welcome Dr Rupert McShane who will be speaking on how Ketamine could be used to treat treatment-resistant depression. Dr McShane is a consultant psychiatrist, based in Oxford. He is the lead of the Oxford Ketamine services and his main focus is developing policy for rapidly acting anti-depressants. Using Ketamine, Dr McShane has treated over 200 treatment-resistant patients with a diagnosis of depression- this will be the focus of his talk.
The talk will take place in the Magdalen Summer Common Room from 6-7pm Thursday, 6th February with a drinks reception beforehand at 5:45pm.
