Exploring the interface between feelings and physiologic signals, between use of self-tracking and relying on clinicians: the next decade in use of wearables in enabling novel ways to understand and intervene.
The past ten years has given a glimpse and how wearable health technologies, including apps and wearable devices, will impact diverse aspects of medicine. I will review how it has forced us to re-examine given assumptions about feeling and the link between subjective and objective findings. Most importantly, it has opened our awareness of the unique of individual responses and the imprint of contextual confounder.
