Reading group and introductions

We will be launching our seminar series with a reading group. Our theme will be the categories of age and childhood in historical analysis. We invite you to consider the following article, and, as a springboard for introductory discussions, to consider its usefulness or otherwise for your own research:

Gill Valentine, ‘Boundary Crossings: Transitions from Childhood to Adulthood’, Children’s Geographies, 1(1) (2003), pp. 37-52.

Participants may also like to look at:
Clementine Beauvais, ‘Ages and ages: the multiplication of children’s ‘ages’ in early twentieth-century child psychology’, History of Education, 45 (3) (2016), pp. 304-318.
