Does being more-informed about migration change preferences and perceptions of government performance?

While a large body of work on fact-checking demonstrates how corrective information leads to more accurate beliefs, it is less clear whether and how such interventions change what people substantively think about issues on account of holding more relevant knowledge, or how they evaluate their government’s performance as a consequence. This study uses the lens of migration and forced displacement episodes in Europe and Latin America to explore this question.
