Oxford History & Social Science Workshop

The second edition of the Oxford History & Social Science Workshop is an opportunity for graduate students in Oxford to present their progress in dissertation chapters or articles to an interdisciplinary audience. It is also a space for discussing the conceptual and methodological challenges of working in the interstices, or challenging the disciplinary boundaries between history and the social sciences. The workshop includes 1)researchers from the social sciences (e.g. economics, politics, sociology, geography, law, area studies) that address problems with a significant historical dimension, or employ historical sources such as archival material or oral testimonies; 2) and historians that use social science concepts, methods or theories from, or tackle questions relevant for the social sciences.
