Oxford Film Studies Network

The Oxford Film Studies Network is a new initiative designed to celebrate and promote the study of film at Oxford and beyond. It is independent from – but informally linked to – the University, where convenor Peter Kessler runs Magdalen Monday Movies at Magdalen College.

This network is intended to complement Magdalen Monday Movies and also to welcome involvement from those involved with film across the University, whether making, showing, watching or analysing it.

In our inaugural term, Hilary 2025, we have four events: three talks online and one live in Magdalen Auditorium. All of these events are COMPLETELY FREE and OPEN TO EVERYONE. You don’t need to be a student or a member of Oxford University.
