Panellists include:
Therese Hopfenbeck, Professor of Educational Assessment (University of Oxford, Department of Education). Therese is the Director of the Oxford University Centre for Educational Assessment and a Fellow at Kellogg College. She is the international expert member of the Visiting Panel for Research (VPR), Educational Testing Service (ETS), Princeton, US, and expert member of the PISA 2018 and PISA 2021 Questionnaire framework group, appointed by OECD. She is Vice President of the Association for Educational Assessment-Europe and chair of Ofqual Research Advisory Board in UK. Therese has provided policy advice to the three Ministers of Education in Norway and has advised the European Commission and other international organisations.
Michelle Meadows, Honorary Research Fellow (University of Oxford, Department of Education). She is Deputy Chief Regulator and Executive Director of Strategy, Risk and Research at Ofqual. Prior to May 2014, Michelle was Director of AQA’s Centre for Education Research and Practice and was a member of AQA’s Executive Board, responsible for ensuring that AQA’s strategy, products and policies were grounded in a robust research evidence base.
Michael Peak, Head of Education Research, Cultural Engagement (British Council). Michael leads the international education research at the British Council where he communicates insight to support decision making and policy at organisational and national levels.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Olga Ioannidou, Postdoctoral Research Officer (University of Oxford, Department of Education).
